Customizable - Two-tone Buttero Moleskine Classic Notebook Leather Cover

You're looking at a leather cover made for the Moleskine Classic and Pocket Notebooks. The cover features an opening on the right of the cover to allow the use of the original elastic band of the notebook for the closure. The compartment on the left of the notebook allows room for loose papers and notes, the front flap of the notebook would also fit inside if you have a softcover.

The cover uses Italian Buttero vegetable-tanned leather for the exterior and natural vegetable tanned leather for the interior which darkens over time and develops a unique caramel color patina. The exterior of the leather is available in 13 colors, please refer to the last photo for color reference. Edges are burnished and neatly finished.

About the leather:
Made from wonderfully tanned vegetable tanned cow leather. Vegetable tanning is a traditional way of tanning using tannic acids naturally found from plant species. The natural appearance before painted, has a slightly brownish tinge over a beige color, with a natural, woody and earthy smell. Due to the nature of the tannins, a unique patina will develop and "carmelize" over time.
