Buttero is a full grain, vegetable-tanned cowhide from Tuscany, Italy. Tanned using natural plant-derived tannins, it is a relatively structured leather that holds its shape well over time while offering a wide range of clear color choices. Because it is full grain and vegetable tanned, it retains its natural surface characteristics and will gradually darken, developing a unique patina through daily use.
