Traveler's notebooks made from full-grain Italian Vegetable tanned leather.

You're looking at a handmade traveler's notebook constructed of 7oz (2.8mm) vegetable-tanned cow leather from Conceria Walpier Tannery of Italy. The vegetable-tanned leather used in the cover is extremely strong and durable, often used to make belts. Edges on the traveler's notebook are beveled and burnished to ensure a smooth finishing. Customizable elastic bands are available in 14 different colors.

Our TNs are typically available in two versions, a "standard" version, and a "wide" version. The "standard" version would hold inserts up to 2 cm thick without overhang, while the "wide" version could hold up to 4 cm of inserts.

STRANDING OPTIONS
2 Strands: This is the default option of the cover, it holds 2 inserts inside the cover. The knot of the elastic band is hidden in the brass bead. Latching bands are required to hold more than 2 inserts.

4 Strands (Please leave a note during checkout for this option): This option allows you to accommodate 4 inserts in the cover without having to add latching bands. The knots of the elastics are hidden inside the cover. Latching bands could be added in order to hold more than 4 inserts.

Buttero Vegetable Tanned Leather comes from Conceria Walpier Tannery in Tuscany, Italy. Founded in 1973, the tannery uses hides from France and specializes in vegetable tanning. They are well known for their premium vegetable tanned leathers and the beautiful colors are able to produce.

Beautiful color and fantastic quality

Excellent Quality

I bought the purple Cahier XL and red A5 both with the wider widths, sizes not always available from other suppliers. I had both embossed with my name on the front and chose the colours for four strands (most come with only two). The leather is an excellent quality - thick, beautifully stained, smooth on the outside and rough on the inside. Simple, no extras, but will hold a lot of notebook material and will last a lifetime. Took a long time to get to Australia (six weeks or so) but worth the wait.

I love this journal! It is high quality leather and more beautiful in person than in the pictures. My personalization came just as requested, and the seller was courteous. The entire experience exceeded my expectations, and I would certainly order again!
