Burgundy Shell Cordovan Leather Standard Tapered Watch Strap for Panerai (22, 24 or 26 mm)

You're looking at a handmade watch strap made using burgundy colored shell cordovan leather sourced from Shinki-Hikaku Co. in Japan. The watch band is tapered down from the watch lugs to the buckle and the strap end. Our watch strap is completely done by hand with saddle stitching and hand-burnished edges and bevels. This would be a perfect strap for not only any Panerai watch but any relatively large wrist watches.

Sizing Guide:
The size of a two-piece watch strap like this one is measured separately. Take medium size as an example: 120 / 75mm, 120 mm represents the length of the longer side of the strap, from the watch lug to the tip on the strap. While 75 mm represents the shorter side of the strap, from the watch lugs to where the leather ends (not including buckle).

To determine which strap size suits you, you may measure your old watch strap and choose a length similar to the strap you are currently using. Or, you may measure your wrist and refer to the sizes below:

Small: 105/70mm fits wrists approximately 5 3/4" to 6 3/4"
Medium: 120/75mm fits wrists approximately 6 1/2" to 7 1/2"
Large: 135/80mm fits wrists approximately 7 1/4" to 8 1/4"

Tapered Straps:
A tapered watch strap means the watch strap is tapered from the lugs towards the buckle and the strap tip. Take width 24/22 mm as an example, the width of the strap at the lugs, where it is installed on the watch is 24 mm. On the other end, the width of the watch strap at the buckle and the tip of the strap are tapered down to 22 mm.

Thread Color:
Tan colored thread as in the photos would be used unless stated. Tan and other thread colors are also available, please contact me for availability.

Leather Colors:
Please refer to the last picture for color options for Shinki-Hikaku shell cordovan leathers, I could make the strap with any of those color options. Please send me a conversation if you need any of those colors.

About the leather:
Shell cordovan is an equine leather made from the fibrous flat muscle (or shell) beneath the hide on the rump of the horse. Since the shell's fibers are the densest among the hide, shell cordovan is known for its strength and flexibility.
