Traveler's notebooks made from full-grain Italian Vegetable tanned leather.

You're looking at a handmade traveler's notebook constructed of 7oz (2.8mm) vegetable-tanned cow leather from Conceria Walpier Tannery of Italy. The vegetable-tanned leather used in the cover is extremely strong and durable, often used to make belts. Edges on the traveler's notebook are beveled and burnished to ensure a smooth finishing. Customizable elastic bands are available in 14 different colors.

Our TNs are typically available in two versions, a "standard" version, and a "wide" version. The "standard" version would hold inserts up to 2 cm thick without overhang, while the "wide" version could hold up to 4 cm of inserts.

STRANDING OPTIONS
2 Strands: This is the default option of the cover, it holds 2 inserts inside the cover. The knot of the elastic band is hidden in the brass bead. Latching bands are required to hold more than 2 inserts.

4 Strands (Please leave a note during checkout for this option): This option allows you to accommodate 4 inserts in the cover without having to add latching bands. The knots of the elastics are hidden inside the cover. Latching bands could be added in order to hold more than 4 inserts.

Buttero Vegetable Tanned Leather comes from Conceria Walpier Tannery in Tuscany, Italy. Founded in 1973, the tannery uses hides from France and specializes in vegetable tanning. They are well known for their premium vegetable tanned leathers and the beautiful colors are able to produce.

Finally, an A5 Cover Done Right

I spent a lot of time comparing different brands, including Louise Carmen and Paper Republic, but I was disappointed with how their sizing worked out, especially for A5. Inserts often did not fit well, or they would hang out awkwardly. Eternal Leather Goods really got the proportions right on this cover.

I ordered the Black Buttero leather traveler’s notebook in the wide, 4-string version, and it is perfect. The wide design easily holds multiple inserts without looking bulky, and everything sits neatly inside the cover with no edges sticking out. The rounded corners are a thoughtful detail that give it a clean and refined finish.

The leather itself is outstanding. It is rich, smooth, and clearly high quality. It feels like it will only get better with age. The pricing was also excellent for the craftsmanship you receive, making it a great value compared to some of the other brands I considered.

Overall, I could not be happier with this purchase. Eternal Leather Goods got everything right, and I will definitely be coming back for more.
