Although I was anxious handmade wallet would be thick for my taste, when I received the product, I was more than happy not only because of the engineering and build quality, but also of the medium (perfect) thickness. I did apply a tiny bit of oil onto the outside of it. The mousepad is just awesome to the extent that I did not use it for my mouse, but a rest for my everyday carry items. Must have Quality essentials!
